Oasis Masonic Lodge meets the first Wednesday of the month

A dispensation was issued by the Grand Master to allow a new Masonic Lodge, named Oasis Lodge U.D., to be formed in Los Angeles. It will meet at the Al Malaikah Shrine Center, and it hopes to attract potential Masons from the central city, downtown, and USC areas. The current Potentate of Al Malaikah Shrine (2011), Sam Pitassi, was selected to be installed as its first Worshipful Master. The institution of the newly formed lodge was officiated on September 15, 2011, at the Al Malaikah Shrine Temple by the Most Worshipful Bill Bray, Grand Master of Masons in California; approximately 500 people were in attendance.
